Public Franchise Companies
Companies granted by the State the right of franchise to produce or distribute a good or service.
Periodic Increase
A percentage of the annual investment return that the Municipality stipulates as an increase to that return every five years. It is specified in the terms and specifications booklet when announcing the competition.
Pioneering Project
A project that contributes to sustainable development in a specific field or activity, and delivers investment, developmental, or social value — whether through investment, employment, technology, or environmental service — at the regional or governorate level, or one that positions the city or governorate as a destination.
Property Allocated for Service Activities
Lands or buildings allocated for workshops (industrial, craft, and professional), gas distribution centers, car showrooms, vehicle dismantling (scrapping), and the like.
Property Allocated for Public Use
Lands or buildings allocated for the sale of livestock, meat, vegetables, fruits, firewood, charcoal, and the like.
Planning Surplus Area
The area of land that arises from re-organizing land plans.
Property Exchange (Al-Mu'awadah)
Exchanging a third party's land or building for land or a building owned by the Municipality.
Public Competition
Opening investment of municipal properties and their related services to competition among investors through public advertisement, in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations and the decisions issued to implement them.
