Al Madinah Region Municipality Announces the Launch of the Expression of Interest Phase for Two Joint Investment Projects: Railway Lands and Dhul Hulayfah District

 Al Madinah Region Municipality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the National Center for Privatization, has announced the launch of the Expression of Interest and Qualifications Submission phase for two joint investment projects to develop the Railway Area lands and Dhul Hulayfah District in Al Madinah Al-Munawwarah. These projects come within the Municipality's efforts to enhance public–private partnership, with the aim of developing the lands owned by the Municipality and transforming them into mixed-use commercial projects.

The Railway Area project aims to transform the land into an integrated commercial project that includes retail and healthcare facilities serving the needs of the city and its residents. The project covers the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of the real estate assets, which will be handed back to the Municipality at the end of the term in an operable condition.

The Dhul Hulayfah District project aims to develop the land in Dhul Hulayfah District, leveraging the large population density in the area to provide hospitality, retail, and healthcare services. The project follows the same public–private partnership model, with guaranteed handover of the assets to the Municipality in excellent condition at the end of the term.

The Municipality noted that these projects represent promising investment opportunities that contribute to improving the city's infrastructure and enhance quality of life in the area. The Municipality, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, and the National Center for Privatization invited interested companies and developers to submit their expressions of interest and qualifications electronically before 02 March 2025 via the links specified for each project.
