Najran Municipality is the authority responsible for planning and urban development in the region. It evolved from a municipality into an Amanah in 1426 AH to reflect the expansion of its scope of services. The municipality has planned modern residential areas, in addition to its major efforts to establish numerous parks and recreational areas in Najran suitable for investment. It has also worked to provide vital facilities such as water networks, markets, and abattoirs. It is one of 17 municipalities distributed across the Kingdom's 13 regions.
